how to Plan your florida beach wedding
How do our destination wedding packages work?
1. Shop Our Pre-Planned Beach Wedding Packages
We offer a variety of destination beach wedding packages that are perfect for any location or beach venue in Florida. Our wedding ceremony packages range from simple and affordable options for just the two of you, to luxurious designs with fresh flowers and entertainment. You can choose one of our packages as is, or customize it by adding enhancements like longer beach photography time, video, or even live musicians. All of our affordable beach wedding packages can be considered elopement packages, as they cater to groups less than 50, however you can add as many chairs as you need plus reception services. All of our Florida Beach Wedding packages are suitable for elopements, vow renewals, committment ceremonies or large scale beach weddings.
2. Select a Beach Wedding Location
What beaches can you get married on in Florida? Florida is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world and we have curated an extensive list of our favorite beaches that you can use. We've done the homework and scouting and have a beautiful line up of choices for your Florida Beach Wedding. You can select one of our favorite beaches to use for your destination wedding, or we can provide services at your rental, resort or any location you want. We are not limited to the beach wedding venues we have listed on our website. It's our pleasure to help guide you to the right beach for your wedding in FL, and help with permitting requirements, if applicable. Our packages do not include beach wedding permit fees but in most cases, we can obtain the permits on your behalf.
3. Check Availability & Reserve Your Date
Confirm our availability for your Florida Destination Wedding date and/or location by calling us or sending along an email. When you're ready to book your beach wedding simply submit your $195 non-refundable deposit. That will lock your Florida wedding date with Platinum Beach Weddings!! The deposit is deducted from your overall package price.
4. My Florida Beach Wedding is Booked...Now What?
Step 1. Confirmation and Service Agreement You will receive an email confirming your deposit and a second email to complete a service agreement. The agreements are completed electronically. You can download a copy after signing is complete. You will receive an email confirming receipt of the agreement with next steps. This is due back within 10 days of placing the deposit. Step 2. Complete planning documents Your celebration coordinator will send you package specific forms to complete such as the ceremony worksheet, photography worksheets and checklists. These are all due back no later than 14 days before your event. You can make changes up to this point as well by emailing us those changes. Step. 3 Review final check in and remit balance We will email you a final review of what we are providing. Once you confirm this, Platinum issues a final invoice and a meet and greet email connecting you with your vendors and a timeline. Step. 4. Wedding Day Try to visit the beach prior to your ceremony so that you are comfortable and know where to go on your wedding day. If you have a bridal party please share the itinerary we provide you so they know what to expect and where to be for your processional to reduce any delays. Remember to bring your rings and FL marriage license. We will see you there!

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS AT Your Beach Wedding
When is rainy season in Florida?
The rainy season in Florida typically runs from May through October, with the heaviest rainfall occurring in August and September. It's important to keep in mind that weather patterns can vary from year to year. Platinum has planned thousands of Fl beach weddings, and ony a handful a year are subjected to severe weather and contingency plans. However, rain isn't the only element to be aware of. High winds, extreme heat and even our cold fronts are weather patterns to consider when planning your Florida Beach Wedding. We can offer the best time of day per season to avoid severe weather however there isn't a garuntee your wedding day weather will be perfect.
What happens if it rains or severe weather is projected on your wedding day?
We ask all of our clients to have a back up location secured or in mind as they are planning their destination beach wedding. We stay in close contact with you the 48 hours leading up to your wedding and monitor the weather with you. Platinum can set up and provide services at your back up location instead, or possibly move the time of day or even the day of your event, if all vendors are available to avoid the incliment weather. If you decide to proceed on the beach and take your chances with the rain, we will make every effort to set up decor however we can omit certain items that may be hazardous or get damaged. Your photography, video or any other vendors may choose to not perform due to hazards, time delays or risk of their equipement getting damaged. If there are time delays to start, it will impact the timing of your event overall and may impact services. Refunds are not issued due to weather and the inability to provide certain services due to weather.
What is the best time of day to get married in the Summer?
July, August and September are the hottest months here! They are also the wettest. If you are planning a Summer destination wedding in Florida, time of day is essential in planning a comfortable event. The heat can be just as much of a nuisance as the rain! Ask us about recommended times to get married in the Summer.
Can I change my day or time if weather is going to be an issue?
Yes you can! As long as all of your vendors and we are available, we can definitely adjust your ceremony time, location and date with short notice. This works great for small elopement so less than 5 people. However, if you are planning your wedding with a larger group, don't let your rain contingency plan be moving your wedding last minute. You'll want to have a rain plan and secondary location secured as a back up so your wedding can go as planned without changes.
Can I add more photography time or pay for my vendors to stay if there are rain delays?
As long as your vendors are available to stay, you can add more time for them to stay due to weather delays. Payment is due at the time of service for additional time. Your vendors will only provide services for the time they are scheduled, time delays do use your allotted time. This is the case for your Platinum set up team, coordinator, Officiant, photographers, videographers, musicians and anyone else contracted to be at your wedding.
What are my back up plan options?
Platinum's venue is the beach! We are a beach wedding company. However, we do have a relationship with a couple venues that may be available to suggest. You would be responsible for payment to use those venues. We often suggest considering where you are staying. Most hotels have a ballroom you can rent or the restaurant you are using may have a private room that can be used. Some beaches do have pavilions for rent that offer shelter as well. We are happy to provide you with suggestions and help you located a back up venue but it is your responsibility to make arrangements for it.
